Darlene Morgan
Kindergarten & First GradeTeacher
Mrs. Morgan has been with Kuyper since it began in 2004. She has been teaching in Christian schools since 1994, after homeschooling for three years. Darlene and her husband, Tony, have been married almost forty years and have two adult daughters, one a registered nurse and the other a contract analyst. Darlene has an Associate Degree in Home Economics and a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree. She loves reading, crocheting, cats, dogs, spending time with her husband, and doing whatever the Lord lays upon her heart.
Beth Richards
Second and Third Grade Teacher
Mrs. Richards has 18 years of teaching experience and loves to interact in the classroom. She enjoys bringing God’s Word to life and challenges her second and third grade students to apply the Bible lessons to their daily lives. Beth also spends time volunteering with Passion for the Arts, and enjoys reading and road trips. She has been married to her husband Todd for 25 years and their three children are currently attending Kuyper.
Meryna Outlaw
Fourth and Fifth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Outlaw is a San Diego native. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Liberal Studies, Education. Her Multiple Subject Credential was also earned through S.D.S.U.. She has been teaching fourth and fifth grades here at Kuyper Preparatory School since 2015. Mrs. Outlaw’s main objective in the classroom is to foster a love for Christ. She believes in working alongside our students to equip them with the necessary tools needed for success as their elementary years come to a close and they transition into middle school. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and the best Golden retriever in the world, Casey. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Caryl Lipnick
English Teacher
Mrs. Lipnick has a passion for teaching students to think critically, to argue well and measure all things by the plumb line of biblical Truth. An avid bibliophile, everything she teaches is taught in the classical model and put into context historically and philosophically. She holds an MBA in Strategic Planning and Finance from Oral Roberts University and has taught for well over 25 years, first taking her own two children all the way through finishing high school, then educating others. She and her beloved husband have served each other in marriage for over 30 years and have a drama ministry serving homeschool students from all over the county, Passion For the Arts. Mrs. Lipnick also enjoys singing, quilting, and mental sparring, especially with her family.
Gabe Claiborne
Mathematics Teacher
Mr. Claiborne is a San Diego native and former Kuyper graduate who lives in east county. After graduating from Kuyper he briefly attended college before enlisting in the US Army and joining the prestigious 82nd Airborne Division. In 2013 after completing his enlistment with the Army he returned to San Diego and immediately resumed his college education for the purpose of working at Kuyper. In 2015 he was brought on as the Junior High and High School math teacher. Mr. Claiborne has two sons, Joseph and Nicholas, and his lovely wife Kayla currently serves as the office manager for Kuyper.
Braedon Lipnick
Science and Latin Teacher
Mr. Lipnick has headed up Kuyper’s upper campus science department since 2014, and has an ardent enthusiasm for everything from Ecology and Astrophysics to Paleontology and Zoology. He holds a BA in History and Social Sciences from San Diego Christian College, and he also teaches Latin 1 & 2 and 8th grade British Literature. Mr. Lipnick believes that every student has a personal niche interest in one or more of the various STEM fields, and that exposure, experimentation, and diligent study can help students recognize where their chief science interests lie. Mr. Lipnick is married to his best friend and the smartest person he knows, Megan, and is frequently found in either the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, Torrey Pines State Beach, or along the wilderness trails of east county, gathering geology samples and biological specimens.
David Gamble
History and Bible Teacher
Mr. Gamble teaches high school History and Bible and currently serves as a lay elder at Helix Bible Church. David and his wife Hannah have two children. Mr. Gamble is passionate about taking the truths of the Bible and making them accessible to believers from all walks of life, and encouraging believers to grow in holiness. David also runs a small martial arts ministry with his brother that focuses on teaching self-defense in a safe, Christian environment.
Ricky Feria
Rhetoric Teacher
Mr. Feria has a BA degree in Economics from UCSD and Master’s degrees in Religion and Pastoral Studies from Azusa Pacific University. He has been involved in impacting children through Christian education for over 20 years both through teaching and helping to administer an environment of excellence for them to thrive in. Mr. Feria currently serves Kuyper as our Headmaster and also serves as an associate pastor at South Bay Community Church. Ricky and his wife Cheri have three adult children and have recently entered the “empty nesting” stage of their lives.
Mirta Flores
Spanish and Music Teacher
Mirta was born and raised in San Diego by Hispanic parents who only spoke Spanish in the home, making her first language Spanish. She has a BA in both Music and Education, with a teaching credential at San Diego Christian College. She has been teaching for 42 years. Mirta and Angel, her husband, have combined, 8 children and 13 grandchildren, with 1 great grandson. Mirta and Angel enjoy time together and love being home enjoying their 3 furbabies. She enjoys teaching sewing, playing music, and reading.

Kayla is passionate about Christian Education and has been involved with Kuyper for a number of years, volunteering and working with the staff. She is married to Gabriel Claiborne and has two children that attend Kuyper. She has recently come on staff as our office manager.

Zack Bilbrey
Director of Development
Zack desires to see the glory of God exalted in the lives of the Church of Christ through a commitment to making the gospel of Jesus the centerpiece of all that the Church does. He believes that this is walked out most practically through a commitment to preaching the Word of God expositionally while realizing that all the Bible is most fundamentally about God Himself as He is revealed through His Son Jesus. Zack and his wife Krista have three children: Josiah, Noah, and Gwen. He holds a B.S. in Religion from Liberty University and is currently working towards his Master of Divinity through Whitefield Theological Seminary. Along with serving Kuyper, Zack also serves as a bi-vocational pastor at Helix Bible Church.
Pastor Brian Hendry
President
Brian Hendry is passionate about proclaiming the glory of God in the Gospel, and faith that practically applies to all of life. Brian and his wife Lilliana have four children. He is the co-founder and President of Kuyper Preparatory School. Pastor Hendry holds a B.A in Biblical Studies and enjoys reading, good food and coffee, sports, and travel.
